University of Missouri Undergoes Staff Restructuring in Swimming and Diving Program
The University of Missouri is reorganizing its swimming and diving coaching staff, with Andrew Grevers taking on the role of Director of Swimming and Diving. Associate head coach Alec Hayden will assume the position of Head Coach of Swimming, while Andrew Sansoucie is promoted to associate head coach.

The University of Missouri is the latest Power 4 program to undergo a restructuring of its coaching staff in the swimming and diving program. The changes come as head coach Andrew Grevers takes on the title of Director of Swimming and Diving for the upcoming season, marking his 8th year with the program in this capacity.
Grevers has a long history with the University of Missouri, initially joining the coaching staff as an assistant coach in 2010. He held this position until 2017, when he was promoted to associate head coach for the 2017-2018 season. Grevers then served as interim head coach for the 2018-2019 season before being named head coach in 2019.
With Grevers assuming the role of Director of the program, associate head coach Alec Hayden will take on the position of Head Coach of Swimming. Hayden has been with the program for the last seven seasons, working alongside Grevers.
Andrew Sansoucie has been promoted from assistant coach to associate head coach, a move that comes after his two-year tenure with the coaching staff. Sansoucie, a Missouri alumnus who swam for the program from 2014-2017, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his new role.
Assistant coach Kate McCarville enters her second season on the staff and will also assume the title of recruiting coordinator. McCarville's promotion highlights the program's commitment to developing its coaching staff and fostering a strong team environment.
The restructuring of the coaching staff comes as the University of Missouri's swimming and diving program continues to grow and develop. The women's team finished 10th out of 13 teams at the 2026 SEC Championships, while the men's team finished 10th out of 11 teams. The women's program sent six athletes to the 2026 NCAA Championships, while the men's team finished 28th with 32.5 points.
The University of Missouri is not alone in its decision to restructure its coaching staff. Other Power 4 programs, including Texas, Minnesota, and Texas A&M, have also adopted this model, with Bob Bowman serving as Director of Swimming and Diving at Texas, Kelly Kremer serving as Director at Minnesota, and Blaire Bachman serving as Director at Texas A&M.
The changes to the coaching staff are expected to have a positive impact on the program, with a focus on developing a strong team environment and fostering a culture of excellence. As the University of Missouri continues to grow and develop its swimming and diving program, it will be interesting to see how these changes shape the future of the team.
