## Mitchell Schott
Mitchell Schott, a Princeton standout, has seen a significant rise through the domestic ranks since joining Bowman's training group at the University of Texas. His final meet of the season took place at the US National Championships in Irvine, where he swam to several lifetime best times. One of his top performances came in the 200 free, where he finished 3rd in 1:45.78, marking his first-ever time under 1:46. He also surged to a career best in the 200 fly in 1:55.37 to finish 5th, a near half-second improvement on what he went at these championships last summer in 1:55.86. Schott also took the 'B' final win in the 400 free, touching in 3:48.69, a time that would have been 5th in the 'A' final, swimming yet another big personal best.
## Jack Kelly
Another Ivy League star turned Texas Pro, Jack Kelly, has made a splash in the Irish National record book. Kelly qualified for a pair of individual championship finals in Paris, competing for a podium spot in both the 100 and 200 breaststroke. Despite finishing 7th in both event finals, Kelly made a splash in the semifinals of both events. He notched his first-ever sub-59-second 100 breast to finish 2nd in the semifinals, notching an Irish Record in the process. He saw similar success in the 200 breast, clocking 2:09.23 in the semifinals, a lifetime best of more than six tenths of a second, and another national record.
## Rowan Cox
Rowan Cox will be suiting up for the Longhorns this fall as a freshman, but has confirmed that he has been training with Bowman at Texas since his graduation, and that training has paid off in a big way so far. Cox closed out his season at the US National Championships, where he was one of the breakout swimmers of the entire competition. Nearly every time Cox entered the pool, he swam a lifetime best. One of his standout swims came in the 100 fly. After finishing 3rd in the prelims with a best time of 51.42, Cox faced a tough challenge ahead of him, racing against the likes of Ilya Kharun, Caeleb Dressel, and Logan Robinson, among several others, in the championship final. Though the young star would shine, he finished 3rd in that final in 50.64, a huge drop from the prelims, and earned a spot on the podium as one of just three sub-51-second performers in the final, along with Kharun (50.05) and Dressel (50.45). That time also took down Thomas Heilman's 17-18 National Age Group Record of 50.70 at last summer's meet.
## Other Newcomers
In addition to Schott, Kelly, and Cox, several other swimmers have joined Bowman's training group and made a significant impact at their end-of-season meets.
| Swimmer | Event | Time | | --- | --- | --- | | Jack Aikins | 100 backstroke | 53.46 | | Tyler Ray | 200 fly | 1:55.11 | | Jack Wilkening | 50 back | 24.75 | | Jack Wilkening | 100 back | 53.78 |
