FITASY Custom Recovery Footwear for Swimmers
FITASY introduces a personalized recovery shoe designed for swimmers, featuring 3-D lattice construction, quick-drying material, and a smartphone-scanned fit profile. The brand partners with USA Diving and will showcase its Croissant Slide at the ASCA World Clinic in Orlando, September 9-12.

FITASY has launched a line of recovery footwear that promises a custom fit for each swimmer. The company’s co-founder, Kevin Wu, questioned why recovery shoes remain mass-produced when athletes already tailor every other aspect of training.
Why Custom Footwear Matters
Swimmers spend hours on concrete after races, walking between warm-up and warm-down areas or standing behind the blocks. During these moments the body begins to recover, making the quality of footwear important. Wu’s experience in competitive sports led him to seek a shoe that matched the unique shape of each foot while still offering comfort and performance.
Technology Behind FITASY
FITASY’s design starts with a 3-D lattice that cushions and supports the foot in key areas. The open structure allows water to escape, preventing moisture buildup and speeding drying time. Swimmers can put on the Croissant Slide while still wet, let it drain, and continue moving without discomfort. The shoe’s quick-drying material is specifically engineered for the transition from pool to recovery.
The brand’s most distinctive feature is its personalization process. Using a smartphone app, athletes scan their feet to create a digital fit profile. FITASY then manufactures footwear that conforms to those exact measurements, turning the foot itself into the blueprint for the shoe.
Application in Aquatic Sports
FITASY’s partnership with USA Diving places the footwear in an environment where athletes move between water, concrete decks, and training areas for extended periods. The same principles apply to swimming and water polo, where recovery time on the deck is as critical as time in the pool.
Coaching and Events
Coaches will have the opportunity to test the Croissant Slide at the ASCA World Clinic in Orlando from September 9-12. The event will allow coaches and athletes to experience the shoe’s cushioning, comfort, and quick-drying properties firsthand. This focus on recovery aligns with the broader trend of individualized training, biomechanics, and performance data.
FITASY’s approach mirrors how teams use data to tailor preparation; see the stats page for an example of such data. The Croissant Slide is part of FITASY’s lineup, similar to how a team’s fixtures schedule informs preparation.
The ASCA World Clinic will run from September 9-12 in Orlando, offering a hands-on look at the technology and its potential impact on recovery for swimmers and other aquatic athletes.
