Futures qualifier Brynlee Yoder has verbally committed to swim for the United States Military Academy at West Point. The New Paris, Indiana, native will join the Army Black Knights in the Fall of 2027, according to a report from Swimming World Magazine.

Yoder will become part of the program's Class of 2031. She will join fellow commits Kalyn O'Hara, Jordyn Kendler, and Amelie Meyer.

Yoder's Announcement

In a statement, Yoder expressed her excitement. She said she is incredibly excited and proud to announce her verbal commitment to swim, study, and serve at the United States Military Academy at West Point. She thanked her family, coaches, and teammates, and gave a huge shoutout to Coach Scott and the rest of the Army coaching staff. Yoder concluded that she is so honored to join AWSD and become part of the Long Gray Line.

Swimming Background and Times

Yoder trains year-round with Warrior Swimming. She most recently raced at the Indiana Summer Spectacular, where she posted a best time in the 50-meter freestyle. In March, she was a five-time finalist at the Indiana Senior Championships, with her top finish being sixth place in the 400-yard individual medley.

High School Career

A senior at Concord Community High School, Yoder has consistently performed at the Indiana State Championships. At the 2026 meet, she placed 13th in the 500-yard freestyle and 15th in the 200-yard individual medley. The previous year, as a sophomore in 2025, she finished 13th in both of those events. She is also a four-time Indiana Sectional Championship gold medalist.

Army's Recent Success

The Army women's swimming and diving team is building on a strong season. The Black Knights finished second at the 2026 Patriot League Championships. At that meet, the team had seven All-Patriot League selections. Angie McKane was named the Women's Swimmer of the Meet. The program set seven school records and six Patriot League meet records during the conference championship.

Yoder's commitment adds another versatile swimmer to Army's future roster.
