Junior Nationals Qualifier Caleb Asebrook Verbals To Queens
Caleb Asebrook, a Junior Nationals qualifier from Tennessee, has verbally committed to swim for Queens University Charlotte starting in fall 2027.

Junior Nationals qualifier Caleb Asebrook has announced his verbal commitment to swim for Queens University Charlotte. The rising senior at Ravenwood High School in Brentwood, Tennessee, will join the Royals beginning in the fall of 2027.
Asebrook publicized his decision on SwimCloud. He cited the team culture during practices and meets as his reason for choosing Queens.
High School and Club Career
Caleb Asebrook has swim for Ravenwood High School's varsity team since his freshman year. He also trains year-round with the Nashville Aquatic Club. His primary events are sprint freestyle, butterfly, and backstroke.
His most recent short course season featured significant time drops. He cut over two seconds in both the 100-yard butterfly and 100 backstroke. He also dropped nearly half a second in the 50 freestyle and exactly two-tenths in the 100 freestyle.
At the Tennessee Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association (TISCA) State Championships in February, Asebrook placed sixth in the 100 fly (49.56) and seventh in the 100 back (50.50). He also contributed relay legs to help Ravenwood finish seventh in both the 200 and 400 freestyle relays.
Current Best Times
Asebrook set his current personal bests at two meets this past season. His top short course yards times are as follows:
| Event | Time |
|---|---|
| 50 Freestyle | 20.75 |
| 100 Freestyle | 46.97 |
| 100 Butterfly | 48.25 |
| 100 Backstroke | 50.32 |
His 100 free best was set at the NAC Timedrop Music City Invitational in December. The other three marks were established at the SE TNAQ Speedo Southern Premier in March.
Projected Impact at Queens
Queens University Charlotte is a Division I Mid-Major program that competes in the Atlantic Sun Conference. The men's team tied Florida Atlantic for the conference championship title in 2026.
Asebrook's reported times suggest he could make an immediate impact. His lifetime best of 48.25 in the 100 butterfly would have placed eighth at the 2026 conference meet. His 100 backstroke time of 50.32 would have earned a spot in the 'B' final.
He is also close to the conference standards needed to earn a second swim in the 50 and 100 freestyle. Those cuts are 20.42 and 45.24, respectively. With two full high school seasons remaining before his first collegiate conference meet, Asebrook is already projected as a contributor.
Recruiting Class Context
Caleb Asebrook is a Winter and Summer Junior Nationals qualifier, though he has not yet competed at either national-level event. He joins fellow sprint freestyler MacCade Ward as the only publicized commits so far for Queens' recruiting class of 2031.
