## Junior Nationals Qualifier Commits to University of Denver Junior Nationals qualifier Sienna Ramirez has announced her verbal commitment to swim and study at the University of Denver beginning in the fall of 2027. Ramirez made the announcement on SwimCloud, expressing her gratitude to her family, friends, and coaches for their support throughout her swimming journey. Ramirez is a rising senior at Millikan High School in Long Beach, California, and has been a member of her school's varsity swimming team since her freshman year. She also trains year-round with Irvine Novaquatics, where she specializes in breaststroke and IM. Ramirez's impressive swimming career has seen her drop significant times in various events, including the 200 breast, 200 IM, and 100 breast. ## Impressive Swimming Career Ramirez's best meet of the season came at the California Interscholastic Federation Southern Section Division 2 Championships, where she finished runner-up in the 100 breast and fifth in the 200 IM, setting current lifetime bests in both events. She also made her first State meet appearance, touching 22nd in the 100 breast. Beyond the short course pool, Ramirez qualified for Summer Junior Nationals (LCM) earlier in the month, finishing 103rd in the 200 breast, 109th in the 50 breast, and 114th in the 100 breast. ## College Commitment A Division I Mid-Major program, Denver's women won the Summit League conference title but are joining the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation this upcoming season. Ramirez's current lifetime bests would have placed her seventh in the 100 breast and qualified her for the 'C' final in the 200 breast. She's also not far off the 2:07.30 needed to earn a second swim in the 200 IM, all with two full seasons of training ahead before she even lines up at her first conference meet. Ramirez joins butterfly and sprint freestyle specialist McKenzie Parsons in committing to Denver's class of 2031 so far. With her commitment, Ramirez is one step closer to achieving her lifelong dream of swimming in college.
